Carlos Colón-Rivera

 

Principal

 

Mr. Colón-Rivera is responsible for Vanguard Vision's strategic direction and overall customer satisfaction. He is also directly involved in customer engagements and operations, employing more than 13 years of technical and management knowledge.

 

Mr. Colón-Rivera founded Vanguard Vision in 2017 after 13 years in technical and engineering positions in the life sciences and software industries. Prior to Vanguard Vision, Mr. Colón-Rivera was senior project engineer at serialization, automation, validation and regulatory compliance company Vantage Consulting Group. He established engineering standards, project engineering guidelines, validation protocols and procedures to support the company’s move into the serialization, authentication and track & trace market.  Managing international serialization projects Mr. Colón-Rivera was able to help and support customers worldwide.  Traveling and interacting with different cultures around the world he learned how to interact with different people and technologies.  Some of the experiences were in Thailand, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Spain, France, Italy, Belgium, Netherland, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and others.  In addition to that, he managed projects in most of the States of the United States of America. Before Vantage Mr. Colón-Rivera was a SAP Master Data Analyst and a Validation Specialist at RCM Technologies. The Analyst role was supporting the SAP PM restructuration part of the FDA Consent Decree in Mc Neil, Las Piedras PR.  The Validation Specialist role was as part of the Decommissioning Team in Wyeth/Pfizer Chemical Plant in Guayama, PR.  He helped establish and executing the validation protocols for the correct decommission process of the GMP equipment in the plant.

 

Before RCM Technologies Mr. Colón-Rivera was 

 

Mr. Colón-Rivera started his career as a calibration specialist at Siemens Building Technology, where he was providing calibrations services for some of the top pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical devices companies in Puerto Rico.

 

Mr. Colón-Rivera has severals degrees in his career and is a continuous student and entrepreneur.

 

Currently studying:

Graduate Certificate in Project Management from the University of South Florida.

Master of Science in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

 

He has completed:

A graduate certificate in information assurance and security from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico

A bachelor’s degree in computerized information systems from the University of the East in Puerto Rico.

An associate degree in electrical engineering from the Technological Institute of Puerto Rico.

An associate degree in instrumentation engineering from the Technological Institute of Puerto Rico.
